After screening “Ski the Himalayas 2″ to packed houses at multiple locations throughout Colorado and Montana, we’re heading up to the Front Range early next week to showcase the epic, high-altitude adventure to a few more shops. Starting off at Jax Mercantile in Fort Collins on October 9th, we’ll make out way over to the REI Flagship Store in Denver on October 10th before hitting up Neptune Mountaineering in Boulder on October 11th. Finally, we’ll be stopping over at Ptarmigan Sports in Edwards on October 12th before heading back to Telluride.

Man, this tour is going well. We just got back from our third stop on the “Ski the Himalayas 2″ film tour, screening the film to a packed house at Ska Brewery in Durango. By showcasing more than just ski porn, the crowd got a taste of what it’s like to ski in Nepal, go on an expedition of this magnitude, and to survive an avalanche. Not to mention, it was really cool to meet so many people from Durango interested in ski expeditions.

The first stops of the “Ski the Himalayas 2″ Film Tour have just passed, and what a turnout we had. With two free screenings in Bozeman and Missoula, attendees were treated to not just the 60-minute feature, but also to a Q&A and prize giveaway from such tour sponsors as Osprey, Mountain Khakis and Sterling Ropes.

Next up: Ska Brewery in Durango this Wednesday, September 26. The screening will also be a fundraiser for the Center for Snow and Avalanche Studies (CSAS). We hope to see you there!
